Mission:
Eight Armed Studio was spawned in 2007 when James (Eightarms) needed a name that represented his work ethic. Being a photographer, designer, videographer, and musician it seemed James has his hands in everything. Thus, Eight Armed became an appropriate name for the continuously productive studio. Our mission is to create work that is professional and intriguing (think three-piece suit with a mohawk). If you’re looking for something generic and sterile, keep on walking. We get dirty.
Biography:
Currently working and creating out of the Boston area. James earned a BA in Graphic Design at UMass Lowell with a minor in Art History. Inspiration for design work comes from the music he listens to. Lyrics create scenes and sound creates the atmosphere. James has been drawing since the age of seven, so creation is something that comes natural.
Credited on IMDB as the video editor of the mob movie “BOYS” produced by the Silva Screen. (winner of “Best Feature” & winner for “Best Director of a Feature Film" at The Beverly Hills Film, TV & New Media Festival. Also winner for "Best Crime Feature" & "Best Directorial Debut of a Feature Film" at The NY International Film Festival)
Clients include musicians Horse the Band, Beneath the Sheets,
Sub 7 and the Undead, and Apollo Starfleet. James has created and edited video for Fright Catalog, designed advertisements for Carpe Nocturne Magazine, and designed a sketchbook that was featured in the Art House Co-op’s Sketchbook Project tour 2011
